The two dates with Susan Tedeschi were very much like dreams come true for us. Both nights were sold out shows. (Couldn't happen to a nicer lady than Susan T.) Backstage at the Aladdin Theater in Portland I could tell we were in for a good night by reading the inscriptions various artists had put on the posters that were framed on our dressing room walls. For example: "...Great place to play"... (Lucinda Williams) and "...How much do I owe you?..." (Dave Alvin). The crowd was warm and responsive thoughout our 40 minute set and we received a standing ovation at the end. The entire staff there was wonderful and told us they had never seen an opening act sell so many CDs. Susan and her band impressed us with their excellence. You must see her to understand. She's a very special woman. And her organist, William Green... somebody call the fire department!

The Fillmore in San Francisco last night was about as good as we could have possibly imagined. Before the show, as we dined upstairs in the "Poster Room" on great food they had prepared for the bands and crew, we were blown away by the amazing history of the place. It was a little intimidating, to be sure, but the three of us know deep down inside we were born to do this and we felt great. The vibe was magical and the crowd was very into it from the beginning. It was really fine to see our friends and family amongst the sea of faces. Our set went smoothly and we were asked back for an encore. The management told us that hasn't happened for an opener in 10 years... Ahhh... Thank you, Lord.

Peace,

Hence
