Our one week tour through the midwest went well. Crowds steadily improved as we made our way from Chicago through Minneapolis, Madison, back to Chicago, and finally to Ann Arbor, Michigan. That final show at the Ark in Ann Arbor was sold out and about as sweet as it gets. Such appreciation from the fans makes all the difficulties worthwhile.
The new Jackie Greene DVD is out and looks good, in my estimation.
The Philadelphia Daily News announced it like so: "NEW FACES: Hotshot guitarist Jackie Greene steps out with the DVD recital 'Broken Hearts, Dusty Roads' (DIG)."
Tonight there is a DVD Release Party in Sacramento and it should be fun to celebrate along with the faithful in our hometown.

I have some good news - and, no, it's not an April Fools' joke; my friend Jackie Greene has been nominated for 2 California Music Awards this year. If you feel so inclined, a trip to the aforementioned website to cast your vote would be appreciated.

Had a really fine time at the Blue Lamp in Sacramento last night doing my own music with our new band. It was a bit rough around the edges but felt good. Major thanks to everyone who came out to listen! I think we're gonna book some more gigs.

If I'm not mistaken tonight a band was born.
Turns out my little brother makes a really fine bassist for me.
I'll still be playing with the JG Band but
now will have my own group to play with while
Jackie is out on the road playing solo.
